The Project was dedicated to the memory of the late Stanley Tobash. While County Commissioner, Tobash was very instrumental in acquiring the Lake as the first County Park.

A new valve was installed to drain the Lake in event of an emergency.

The Lake was drained for repairs to the dam breast and for replacement of the faulty valve structure.
