80 porcupine cribs were built and installed in August, 2006.
Thanks to many volunteers and the PA Fish and Boat Commission.

The Sweet Arrow Lake Conservation Association and the
Northern Swatara Creek Watershed Association held "Lake Appreciation Day" on 7/28/06.
For their hard work and generous contributions, John and Carol Keesey were given Lifetime Memberships in SALCA.
John built the dock in the photo and also built several new picnic tables for the park.

Lightning struck a large hemlock several feet from the Clubhouse.
The tree had to be removed.

The July 4th Free Concert by the Pine Grove Band
was a Big hit for the 2nd year in a row.

The June 28, 2006 Flooding made a spectacular Falls view.
Damage to the Lake was minimal but the waters backed
up all the way to Wolfes Road (first photo)

YMCA Day at the Lake ---
Canoeing, fishing, Frogs, mammals--the kids loved it all.

6/17/07 Bass Tournament was a lunker of
a success.

A painted turtle emerged from underneath
the pavilion one day. 

The Bridge over the Falls is officially dedicated
on May 26, 2006

 

Work continues on the parking lot and lighted walking path to the bridge over the falls
 

The PCC crew and Denise Donmoyer float the dock John Keesey built into place. The PCC crew built the stone pier. They discovered a couple days later why they need to finish it with a stone ramp. We recieved over 2 inches of rain overnight.

 

Construction has begun on the lighted pathway to the Falls Bridge. 

Hundreds lined the banks and floated the waters in hopes of catching trout. The first annual fishing derby and breakfast was a tremendous success.

The first day of trout season and Jennifer Schwartz catches the first tagged trout in Sweet Arrow Lake and wins the the $50 first prize from the Northern Swatara Creek Watershed Association.
